Lighting Designer

Jaemin is a lighting designer and an assistant professor of lighting and sound design at Southern Illinois University. A proud member of United Scenic Artists (Local USA 829), he was honored with the 2023 Jonathan Resnick Lighting Design Award from the United States Institute for Theatre Technology. Originally from South Korea, he began his career with the opera La Traviata in 2005 and has since designed lighting for more than 150 productions across theatre, musical theatre, opera, and dance. Since his move to the United States in 2019, he has cultivated an active body of national and international design work across the U.S., South Korea, Asia, and Africa. He is thrilled to make his Central Florida debut at The SigPro Studioo.
