Do the subscriptions include Preview shows?

At The SigPro Studio™, our subscriptions do not include Preview shows. Season subscriptions are for performance dates outside of previews only.

Can we choose our seats for the subscription packages?

All seats are chosen by you! Seat Maps are available on each show page for reference.

Will a seating chart be posted online?

The SigPro Studio™ has two different floor plans (thrust and proscenium), depending on the show, but we always do our best to post a Seat Map at the bottom of each show page.  Also, the space is very intimate, so no matter where you sit, you will feel like you are part of the action.

About The SigPro Studio™

What type of theatre is this?
The SigPro Studio™ is a 200+-seat black-box theatre space. A Black Box is a flexible space. There are many ways to configure stage and audience areas. The typical ways we can construct the space for performance include: thrust & proscenium. We could also configure seats in a "cafe style," alleyway, and more. The walls, ceiling, risers, and floor are all black. This serves as a blank canvas to bring any show to life. There are risers for the stage floor seating. We produce plays and musicals here from scratch. Unlike The Sharon Performing Arts Center, our touring venue, this theatre, the actors, musicians, sets, costumes, lights, and sound- the performances you see at The SigPro Studio™ will be unique to this venue alone and produced in-house. We are excited for you to come and join us!
Can people who are not residents of The Villages attend performances at The Studio?
Absolutely! At The SigPro Studio™, all are welcome!
What are "Preview Shows?" Does that mean that we will only see part of the show?
At The SigPro Studio™, preview shows are full performances of the production before it opens. Audiences get to see the show at a discounted rate while the performers get to have the chance to perform the show in front of an audience for the first time. Rehearsals are still underway at this point, and the director can make changes to the show based on audience feedback. Also, previews are still part of the rehearsal process, so be advised that the show might have to "hold" for a myriad of reasons, from technical to artistic. Previews are fun because (1) you get a discount, (2) you can see the show before any reviews are written, and (3) because things are still changing you might get to see a part of the show that a regular audience doesn't.
Are all the plays suitable for children?

The SigPro Studio™ has a show rating system. Please see the rating for each show before determining whether its content is acceptable to your taste.
