Costume Designer

Most recently Rich has been the Costume Designer for The Studio’s production of Company and their upcoming production of Red (The Villages, FL) Recently Rich created the costume design and built the clothes for the GS of Bermuda’s production of The Drowsy Chaperone. After 15 years, this past September Rich married his husband, Joel Froomkin and they relocated to the Orlando area. Rich and Joel are the creators of Different Stages Theater Company and spent ten years producing MainStage shows as well as concerts at their theater in Indiana. Prior to their Indiana adventure Rich and Joel worked together in New York City on productions for The Bermuda International Festival of the Arts, The New York Fringe Festival, and The Edinburgh Fringe Festival Rich attended The Catholic University of America’s Benjamin T. Rome School of Music and the American Musical Dramatic Academy in New York City and, for two weeks before he decided he had been to enough schools, Columbia University in New York City. Rich has been blessed with having been able to see hundreds of the best professional productions in New York, Los Angeles, and London and has been part of more productions than his limited ability to count allows him to keep track of! When not busy sewing, building sets, or painting a show, he spends time rehabbing and bringing old buildings back to life, and is often covered in some sort of construction debris.
