Originally from New Berlin, Wisconsin, Eric Mielke attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he received degrees in Music Performance-Double Bass and Psychology. Although he was working as a musician, life continued to lead him into work as an audio engineer. He moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 2003 and attended Belmont University to earn a degree in Audio Visual Production along with a minor in Music Business. As an audio engineer and sound designer for nearly 25 years, he has worked on world premiers of several student productions such as “Rent,” “Avenue Q,” “Shrek,” and “The Little Mermaid.” He has also received Tommy Awards for outstanding sound design for “All Shook Up,” and “AIDA.” Eric looks forward to being part of the production design staff for The Studio Theater.
