Bert Rodriguez works extensively as both a performer and music director in Central Florida and beyond. He moved to Orlando in 2006 to open Finding Nemo: The Musical at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, co-originating the role of Crush. In his role as music director, some highlights encompass Cabaret (Orlando Shakes) Dracula: The Musical (Opera Del Sol), In The Heights (City Springs Theatre Company), Little Shop of Horrors and Broadbend, Arkansas (The SigPro Studioo), Beauty and the Beast and On Your Feet (Garden Theatre), and A Chorus Line and Always, Patsy Cline (Theater West End). He spent over a decade music directing for Norwegian Cruise Line. Additionally, he was fortunate enough to music direct the regional premieres of Spank! The 50 Shades Parody (Florida Theatrical Association) and Heathers: The Musical (New Generation Theatricals). He had the honor of performing as a featured soloist in the concert An Evening with Kristen & Bobby Lopez as part of Lincoln Center’s American Songbook series. He is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association and the American Federation of Musicians, local 389.
