Assistant Director
Fangran Li is a China-born bilingual director and translator dedicated to telling stories that reflect the lived experiences of our time while fostering cross-cultural and interdisciplinary exploration. Her recent directing credits include Antigone and the one-act Elephant in the Room. Her assistant and associate directing work in musical theatre includes Rouge, Our Lifelong Serendipity, and Murder Ballad. Fangran is currently a second-year John Wells Directing Fellow in the MFA program at Carnegie Mellon University. She holds a BA from Hampshire College, where she concentrated in theatre directing and Japanese.
